DFS Lineup Tips for NFL Week 13

Week 13 of NFL DFS is another slate of minimal chalk and clear must plays, especially at the low end. This sets up as a great slate for GPPs and cash games both as you can find a lot of good plays all over the slate and not just key in on a few decision points.

Quarterback

Patrick Mahomes and Lamar Jackson project to be two of the highest owned plays at the QB position and I cannot argue with either of these players because of their consistency and clear upside. Jackson is in a tough matchup, but I think that this matchup will force Lamar to scramble even more than normal. This is a low floor spot, but he is always a high upside player.

Down the list, I like Kyler Murray and Jared Goff in a matchup against each other with shootout potential. Kyler Murray popped up on the injury report today, which makes me a little afraid because of Kyler’s rushing ability. I do like both of these players in GPPs more than cash.

If you want to punt, Andy Dalton returns for a pristine matchup against the Jets this week. I don’t love Dalton behind a subpar offensive line, but this is a great matchup at a great price.

Running Back

Christian McCaffrey projects as one of the highest owned players on the slate and for good reason. McCaffrey is the best player on the slate and he is priced like it as well. I love CMC here, but do not sacrifice your lineup to force him into every lineup.

If you have to go under McCaffrey, I really like Todd Gurley against a poor Arizona defense. Last week, Gurley played 96% of snaps. This is a great sign for Gurley and he should see a lot of goal-line opportunities in this spot.

Miles Sanders is the chalky play on the cheap at the running back spot and I think that Sanders is a great cash play with the opportunity he has seen. If you want to pivot off of Sanders in GPPs, take a shot on Kareem Hunt. He saw a lot of targets against this same Steelers team just a few weeks ago.

Wide Receiver

Davante Adams is projected to be the highest owned receiver on FanDuel this week against a bad Giants defense. Adams consistently sees double digit targets and he has as much upside as anyone on this slate. I love Adams in all formats and I will not be looking to move off of him too much this weekend.

Terry McLaurin is a great low-owned option who saw a TON of air yards last week. While McLaurin didn’t convert on those targets last week, he is PFF’s top graded receiver on balls 10+ yards downfield so he is a great downfield receiver.

Tight End

Tyler Higbee is going to be the chalk on this slate due to tight end injuries on the Rams. I expect Higbee to be incredibly highly-owned in cash and for good reason. I do think that pivoting off of Higbee to someone more expensive like Darren Waller is a great idea to differentiate in tournaments.
