RBC Heritage Daily Fantasy Sports Lineup Tips

After a remarkable Masters Tournament last week, we move on the Hilton Head, South Carolina this week for the RBC Heritage at Harbour Town Golf Links. This is not as big of a Daily Fantasy Sports tournament as The Masters, and you won’t find as many of the large GPP’s available this week on Draftkings or FanDuel, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t enough to keep us busy and to build those bankrolls.

We will take an in-depth look at both Draftkings and FanDuel Tournaments this week, mainly for GPP purposes, and we will also give you a handful of golfers that we either like or dislike, and the reasons for our opinion.

The first tournament we want to mention over on Draftkings is the PGA $555K Drive The Green. This tournament consists of a $5.00 entry fee with a chance to win the top prize of $100,000. There is a total player pool of 131,985 contest entries, with a 150 max entry per player.

The second Draftkings GPP that we want to mention is the $400K Club Twirk. This tournament has a bit of a higher buy-in at $44.00, but you are only playing in a contest against 10,601 entries. The top prize for this tournament is also $100,000.00, and there is also a 150 max entry per player.

If you are a fan of FanDuel, then you might want to look at the $222K PGA Eagle GPP. This tournament has a $9.99 buy-in fee with the top prize being $50,000. There are only 26,455 entries allowed in this tournament, and much like the other two tournaments, there is a max entry of 150 entries.

Now that we have discussed the details of the tournament let’s talk about some of the golfers we like/dislike in the RBC Heritage.

Players to Watch:

Dustin Johnson (Dislike) – A lot of people will read this and start to scratch their heads, but I have my reasons. First off, DJ has played here 3 times in his career and missed the cut in 2 of the 3 years. Last year was the first time he didn’t miss the cut and ended up in 16th place. Additionally, DJ is the most expensive player in both formats, and I just don’t see the value in playing someone with the deck stacked against him.

Jordan Spieth (Like) – I guess this could be a “Like” and a “Dislike” and here is why. First off, his ownership is always going to be relatively high mainly because the general public sees his name and automatically thinks of the Jordan Spieth from 2 years ago. That isn’t the case, but he has begun playing better. He finished in 21st place at the Masters and has decent course history here, with a 9th, 11th and 12th place finish in his 3 times on the course.

Jim Furyk (Like) – Furyk’s ownership will come in low this week, as he has finished in 70th place and missed the cut in the past two times he played here. This is a much different Furyk that we are seeing out on the course. He is #1 in Driving Accuracy and in great form!

Tommy Fleetwood (Like) – Most people are going to look at Fleetwood’s course history and not see any. That is because this is his first time playing here at Harbour Town. Don’t let that scare you off; if anything it might be an added advantage since 4 of the last 10 winners of the RBC Heritage were first time players on the course. Last year, Satoshi Kodaira had an easy time with the course and won in his first time here. The year prior, Wesley Bryan played for the first time here at RBC Heritage and also won. Will it be the third straight time?

Charles Howell (Dislike) – Howell has covered high ownership in the past 6 tournaments, mainly because the guy has been one of the most reliable golfers in the world in 2019. Pump the breaks! Howell does not play well here at RBC Heritage. Never has and probably never will! This just isn’t his style of course that suits him well failing to reach the Top 20 in 10 straight tournaments here at Harbour Town Golf Links. Fade Howell this week!

Luke Donald (Like) – It is really difficult to make an argument not to have Donald in all of your DFS lineups. In the last 10 years, he has finished in either 2nd or 3rd in 7 tries here at Harbour Town. Pretty hard to ignore that and not put him into your lineups!
