Tuesday Pick 4 and Pick 5 Strategy

When putting together pick ends tickets there are a couple considerations to use. For these tickets the general construction followed the following set of guidelines:

  1. Eliminate vulnerable favorites
  2. Stick to front end runners when possible
  3. Keep cost down by getting “skinny” when possible
  4. Cast a wide net when chaos seems likely

Given these considerations some of the tickets may differ slightly from the picks above.

Early Pick 4 (Races 1-4)

  • Early Pick 4 Ticket: 1,2,7/11/2,3,4,6,7/1,7,8 ($22.50)

Early Middle Pick 4 (Races 3-6)

This seems like the hardest sequence of the bunch and appears to require the biggest investment per race.

  • Early Middle Pick 4 Ticket: 2,3,4,6,7/1,8/1,5,6/4,5,7,8 ($60)

Late Middle Pick 4 (Races 5-8)

  • Late Middle Pick 4 Ticket: 1,5,6/4,5,7,8/8/2,5,10 ($18)

Philly Pick 5 (Races 6-10)

  • Philly 5 Ticket: 4,5,7,8/8/5,10/7,8,9,10/6,7,8,9 ($64)

Late Pick 4(Races 7-10)

  • Late Pick 4 Ticket: 1,8/5,10/7,8,9,10/6,7,8,9 ($32)
