DraftKings Enters New Partnership with Philadelphia Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles have been subjected to a lot of negative press on the field lately. They are at least ending the week with positive business news as Philadelphia has entered into a partnership with sports betting giant DraftKings.

According to sources , the companies have agreed to a multi-year deal which names DraftKings as the official sports betting provider of the Eagles. Under the terms of the new partnership, DraftKings will also provide the platform for the Eagles’ daily fantasy sports content.

Terms of the new partnership are inline with similar arrangements around the NFL. DraftKings acquires specific naming rights associated with the Eagles, but also gets access to Lincoln Financial Field.

The Eagles have not yet altered plans for fans being allowed in the stands during home games. A source said a newly named club, ‘DraftKings Field Club’ is going through some changes to make it an exclusive ‘VIP Club’ that will host special guests of the team for now.

DraftKings Elated To Add Philadelphia Eagles

Although it’s a slow process for fans coming back into stadiums, DraftKings has already accelerated their ad campaign promoting their partnership with the Eagles.

DraftKings is not the first sportsbook to form a partnership with the Eagles. The team also has an agreement with Fox Bet, formed on September 15th, 2020.

Part of that deal gives FoxBet the opportunity to build a 4000 square foot lounge and production studio to produce sports betting related content. Various Philadelphia professional sports teams have been forming partnerships with sportsbooks in the last 2+ years, so this is not a complete surprise.

Betting Experts Predict More Partnerships

The Eagles also partnered with Unibet last October to provide a platform for their casino interests. The Philadelphia 76ers have a partnership with DraftKings to serve as their official sportsbook and casino provider.

The 76ers were hard at work partnering with sportsbooks since the Supreme Court overturned a national sports betting ban in 2018. Shortly after that ruling, the 76ers secured a partnership with Caesars Entertainment for promoting online contests back in October of 2018.
