Featured Betting Pick: Denver Broncos at Kansas City Chiefs

The Denver Broncos will travel to take on their AFC West rival the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday at 1PM EST. The Broncos sit at 3-4 on the year and the Chiefs are 6-1 through their seven games. The Chiefs have a leg up on the division as they are 3-0 and one game up in the standings for the division lead. The Broncos have struggled a little bit thus far this year but still aren’t out of playoff contention.

The Chiefs are in full control of their destiny this year and look to be in a great position to gain home field advantage in the playoffs. These two teams met once this year already as the Chiefs defeated the Broncos in week four by a score of 27-23. The 27 points put up by the Chiefs is their season low total thus far this year. The Chiefs are favored in this one by 10 points.

Broncos Seeking Consistency

The Denver Broncos have been up and down thus far on their season. They started the year off with two wins in a row against the Seahawks and the Raiders before losing four games in a row. They destroyed the Cardinals last week 45-10. The Broncos offense has struggled a little bit this year and Case Keenum hasn’t been very good. Keenum has thrown eight touchdowns this year but has also thrown nine interceptions. He is completing 63.4 percent of his passes and has thrown for 1,848 yards this year.

The Broncos are averaging 251.3 passing yards a game this season and are running the ball for 125.1 yards a game. Their rushing attack is ranked 8thin the NFL. Denver is scoring 23.6 points a game which is ranked 19thin the NFL whereas they give up 23.4 points a game which puts them at 13thin the NFL. The Broncos schedule does not get any easier after this game as they have to play the Texans, Chargers, and the Steelers in consecutive weeks.

Kansas City on Fire

The Chiefs have been rolling this year as they lead the NFL in almost all the offensive categories that you can imagine. The Chiefs have scored 260 points this year, which is tops in the NFL. They are scoring 37.1 points per game and allowing 26.0 points a game. The defense isn’t the best as they are ranked 22nd in points given up a game in the NFL. Patrick Mahomes II has been unbelievable this year for Kansas City as he has thrown for 2,223 yards and has thrown 22 touchdowns.

He is ranked 1st in touchdown passes this season and 2nd in passing yardage on the year. Mahomes has also only thrown for less than 204 yards one time this season. Tyreek Hill leads the team in receiving this year with 635 yards and seven touchdowns. A year after leading the league in rushing, Kareem Hunt is having another good year with 542 yards thus far on the year as well as five touchdowns.

Kansas City Rolls

The Broncos just routed the Cardinals and the Chiefs have been running over everyone. I would expect Kansas City to do much of the same in this one. No one has really shown that they can stop the Chiefs offense besides the Broncos. The Chiefs have gotten even better since that game and they aren’t going to stop producing points. When you play Kansas City you are going to be in a shootout. Denver just doesn’t have the firepower to be able to keep up with the scoring that Kansas City is going to produce. Take the Chiefs to cover the ten point spread.
