Stafford and Rodgers of the Packers have been on opposite sides of the field many times, but this matchup is far more even than the majority of their meetings with Stafford in a Lions uniform.

Los Angeles Rams vs Green Bay Packers Betting Preview
The Rams have lost their last 2 games. They are off a bye though and if you like the leadership of the team that has to be worth something. All season long the offense has been pretty sharp and it stands to reason that they now know how they want to make the most of WR Odell Beckham Jr. The Rams defense has been a letdown this season though. They are just 14th in points allowed and they need to be better if the team is going to win in the playoffs. Rush linebackers Leonard Floyd and newly acquired Von Miller and both on the injured list this week.
Green Bay comes in after a loss last week against rival Minnesota. Aaron Rodgers has apparently not practiced this week while dealing with a toe injury but is expected to play. He has most of his skill players at his disposal, but running back Aaron Jones (knee) is questionable.
Green Bay’s offensive line has struggled this season, and this matchup is concerning even if the Rams might be missing some players who bring the heat. Green Bay might have to lean on its defense this week, which is not an easy ask even with the Rams not looking their best offensively in their last two games. Even though the Packers have had success shutting down some of the best offenses in the NFL, I am not confident that they will be able to do it against a unit that will be eager to shake off ugly losses to the Titans and 49ers.

I was surprised to see that the Packers are not favored at home in this spot. Maybe the rest spot for the Rams is the reason, or it could be concern over Rodgers’ health. In this game, I am just leaning on the offenses. I expect Stafford to have little trouble connecting with his best weapons and look for the Rams to get out in front. That puts Rodgers in catch-up mode, which is not a bad thing if you want lots of points. They scored 31 points in their loss to the Vikings and might do the same against the Rams.

OBJ has proven throughout his career that he can be an excellent decoy. Still, in a game where I think there will be a lot of offense, I think he can be good for at least a few catches, or one really big play. With some extra time to prepare, look for the Rams to work him into the offense effectively.
