New York Giants vs Dallas Cowboys Betting Preview: Confident Cowboys Picking Up Steam as NFC East Rivals Come to Town

New York Giants vs Dallas Cowboys Betting Preview: Confident Cowboys Picking Up Steam as NFC East Rivals Come to Town

The NFC East was not supposed to have a dominant team this season, but the Cowboys might throw a wrench in that assessment. The Cowboys were the NFL betting favorite for the division entering the season, but they don’t appear to have any serious challengers at the moment.

The Giants might be starting to believe in quarterback Daniel Jones, but until they start winning regularly, it is hard to know what he is for sure.

This might not look like a great game on paper, but matchups between NFC East teams, especially these two teams, often have plenty of twists and turns.

New York Giants vs Dallas Cowboys Betting Outlook

After two close losses, the Giants finally got in the win column last week with a surprising overtime win at New Orleans.

Daniel Jones had arguably the best performance of his NFL career, throwing for 402 yards against the Saints. He was able to create big plays too, connecting with Saquon Barkley and John Ross III on long touchdowns. They are still having trouble getting Barkley going in the run game and will need more balance to have a chance against the Cowboys.

The Giants should be able to generate some production offensively, but if they don’t slow the Cowboys down on the other side of the ball, it will be a long day. The Cowboys are going to be a challenge because of their balance. If the Giants can’t make life uncomfortable for Dak Prescott, he will pick them apart.

Dallas Has Been Much Better than Expected This Season

When the Cowboys struggled to stop the Bucs in their season opener in Tampa, it looked like they might have some questions to answer going forward. But they have answered those questions so far, winning three games in a row since that opening loss.

Dak definitely looks completely recovered from last season’s injury, and the Cowboys have taken their running game to the next level with Ezekiel Elliot and Tony Pollard. That balance has helped them be one of the most productive offenses in the NFL. It also makes them tough to play catchup against.

The defense is a work in progress, but LB Micah Parsons and CB Trevon Diggs have been impact players. Diggs has been a ballhawk, with his five picks accounting for half of the Cowboys’ takeaways. When the defense plays well or takes the ball away, this Cowboys team can compete with any team in the league

New York Giants vs Dallas Cowboys Best Bet

Dallas -7

NFC East games are generally tight, but the Cowboys have covered in all 4 games this season and will run that record to 5-0. Look for them to build a solid first-half lead and then really grind the game away in the second half. Jones and Barkley won’t be able to make enough plays to give the Giants a chance. Dallas has the winning formula they want going right now.
