Tennessee Titans vs New England Patriots Betting Preview: Wounded Titans Look Like an Easy Target for New England.

It is too bad that the Titans don’t have RB Derrick Henry right now. It would have been interesting to see how he fared against the top defense in the NFL as the Titans take on the Patriots.

That defense is a big reason why New England is on a heater right now. They have won five in a row and have played suffocating defense the last few weeks.

This game is massive for AFC playoff implications. Will the Pats continue their hot streak? Or will the Titans manage to pull out another impressive win while shorthanded?

Tennessee Titans vs New England Patriots Betting Preview

Tennessee is 8-3 and still a couple of games ahead of Indianapolis in the AFC South. That gives the Titans some cushion as this team deals with massive injuries. Henry is likely out until January, and top receiver AJ Brown has been placed on injured reserve. With all of the injuries they have, it is hard to know who is going to make a play. As much as I like coach Mike Vrabel, it is hard to imagine that he is going to out-scheme his mentor. It is just too bad the Titans are not healthy.

I am not sure what the ceiling is for this New England team because I still don’t believe in their offense. They have won and covered in five straight games, primarily because of the defense. They are first in the NFL in points allowed and third in yards allowed.

Folks were surprised to see the Pats spend in free agency, but their pick-up of linebacker Matt Judon has been impactful. He has 10.5 sacks already. Rookie quarterback Mac Jones is not making mistakes and is now the favorite to win Offensive Rookie of the Year. Look for him to be solid in this one, but when they need him to start making plays and not just avoid mistakes, it will be interesting to see how the Pats do.

Tennessee Titans vs New England Patriots Best Bet

New England Patriots -7

I like this Tennessee team a lot, when they are healthy. That is definitely not the case this week, and that makes it easier for New England’s conservative approach to work its magic. They can be patient on offense and put pressure on Ryan Tannehill on defense. When you do that, he is prone to make mistakes. This game might not feel like domination but in the end, the Pats can win easily by more than a touchdown.

NFL Betting Prop Watch: Tennessee Titans Under 17.5 Points (-120)

The Patriots' last three opponents have combined for just 13 points. When healthy, Tennessee is a strong offensive team that can make big plays in the running and passing games. But without Henry and Brown, it is hard to like this offense. It is not easy, but you have to try and create big plays against New England even under the best of circumstances. Successful long drives are tough against the Pats, and points are hard to come by
