NFL Betting Odds & Schedule for Week 5: Will the Cardinals stay perfect?

Week 4 of the NFL season is in the books, and we can cast our eyes on what is ahead in Week 5. We will be able to get our NFL betting kicks early on Sunday, as the Falcons meet the Jets in London. Yes, it’s the Falcons and the Jets, but many among us will not pass up the chance to have a side of bets with our Sunday breakfast.

Week 5 gets underway with the Seahawks hosting the Rams on Thursday night. If the first four Thursday night games are any indication, we are in for a close game in Seattle. Carolina’s Week 3 win over Houston is the only one to not be decided by single digits or a last-second field goal. Despite their impressive win in San Francisco on Sunday, the Seahawks are currently a slight underdog against the Rams, who were routed at home by the undefeated Cardinals.

Will Lance Get His First NFL Start Against Undefeated Arizona?

Speaking of MVP favorite Kyler Murray and the 4-0 Cardinals, they have the chance to make another big statement against in Week 5 as they host the 49ers. The 49ers might be happy to hit the road after home losses to the Packers and Seahawks. It’s still early enough for a three-game losing streak to not be a mortal blow, but it would severely limit their margin for error from here.

The big story in San Francisco is whether Jimmy Garoppolo (bruised calf) will start against the Cardinals. If he must sit, Trey Lance will make his first NFL start. Lance took over for Garoppolo in the second half and threw two touchdown passes to Deebo Samuel, including this one. I hear he’s still wide open.

Those two NFC West matchups are two of the top Week 5 matchups, but this week’s biggest game is also one of the biggest games of the season. On Sunday night, the Chiefs host the Bills in a rematch of last season’s AFC Championship Game. Will they match up again this season? The Chiefs may be 2-2, but they hold firm as the NFL betting odds favorite to win the AFC, with the Bills next in line.

Are Burrow and the Bengals Ready to Make a Run?

The other standout matchups this week feature 3-1 teams. Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals have started well, but how seriously should we take them? We’ll get an idea as they host Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers. In the other 3-1 vs 3-1 matchup, the Los Angeles Chargers host the Cleveland Browns. A win over the Browns, who are third in line in the latest AFC title odds, would enhance Justin Herbert’s MVP odds.
